Where do you put .dll VST Plugin on PC

Sorry for silly newbie question. What directory do I place VST plugins in. I'm running VP9c. I assume it is somewhere below C:/Program Files/Sony/Vegas Pro 9.0.

In case it matters, I specifically wish to install the "Spitfish" audio plug-in for de-essing audio.

All my VST plugins are in C:\Program Files\Vstplugins
I tell Vegas where they are in Options - Prefs - VST effects.
