Where is their tech support?

Wow - can't even get to their tech support to ask a question - they buried the link in a never ending cycle of clicks (way to go Vegas!)

I'm working on a project, regardless how I output "Make A Movie" (MOV or mp4) the final movie stops and quits when played in VLC media player. It's random, changes any time I render the movie. The piece is almost 50 minutes and takes 1 hour 30 minutes to render. I can see the length of the movie in the player, but it stops and quits the program at random times. It quits in the middle of a clip - not at an edited point. I've re-rendered the project four times in different formats, but really need mp4 to upload to youtube.

I've done a lot of shorter movies - 3 - 10 minutes, those work well - no issues. But the longer piece seems to make VEGAS unusable.

Presumably you've also tried it in another player?

Anyway we need info before anyone can help you. Start here with items that appear relevant https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/important-information-required-to-help-you--110457/

Although written for Vegas Pro most applies to VMS.

How big (in MB) are those 50 minute pieces that were made and how big is the location you render to?

I tried Windows Media Player and VLC players, both would stop and quit the program. Each time I rendered the video (Make a movie), there would be a different stop time. In the player window, I could see the full 49 min 38 seconds of the timeline. But I can't click to anything past the time the video stops (for example it stopped at 8 min 21 sec, even though it showed the complete timeline) The file is 640MB and I have plenty of space on my hard drive. I'm using Movie Studio 16 Platinum. Finally tried uploading directly to YouTube and it worked, even though it didn't save to YouTube at first, I could save it to my hard drive, then upload.

640mb file for 50 mins? What's the image size and video bitrate? Looks extremely low which might be the issue with playing. YouTube of course re -renders to suit their specs so aren't streaming your original file.
