Where is Vegas Preferences File stored?

I need to do a clean install of XP Pro to cure some problems I'm having with my system. I shall therfore have to re-install Vegas Pro8 and would be grateful if someone could please help me with the location/names of the preferences and keyboard shortcut files so that I can save and reinstall them (I've already found the windows layout file).

mine are here

C:\Documents and Settings\ YOUR FOLDER NAME \Application Data\Sony\Vegas Pro\8.0

C:\Documents and Settings\ YOUR FOLDER NAME Application Data\Sony\Render Templates

you will need to turn on folder options so you can see the hidden folder Application Data.

Make sure you take an image backup of your C drive before you reformat so that if you forgot (or didn't know about) a file you need then you can go back and get it.

Data stored in registry will have to be reinserted of course, but there is no point restoring the whole registry because often it is the poor state of the registry that brings about the need to do a clean install anyway.
