Where's the Vegas 8.0 forum? Why no phone support?

A person who has now left our office installed Vegas 8.0 on a computer without registering DVD Architect.

I was told DVD Architect has its own, separate registration number from Vegas Pro's but if that's the case, the piece of paper with the information has been lost.

I tried calling the customer support line but a recording says they are experiencing a higher volume of calls than usual but doesn't given me the option to hold on until my call is answered.

What kind of phone support is that? When people have spent hundreds of dollars on its software you'd think Sony would actually let us talk to a real, breathing human being!

If anyone has a suggestion on how to retrieve the DVD Architect software registration number I'd appreciate hearing it.

Maybe....Busy support... as the message kind of suggests? But what I can't understand here is the YOU lost your serial number and you're angry as Sony???

No problem. Sony has taken care of the Lost RegCode situation:
Just go to My Account (above) and then click My Software and you will see all your registration codes.

And rightfully so, since she says that she's not given the option to be put on hold like with 99.9% of companies.

I think the customer hung up too fast. I just called 800-577-6642 and the message says wait times might be long, but then it goes right into the phone prompts for sales and support.

how do you know the SN wasn't lost but stolen by the previous employee?

That's only true if the software has already been registered. If it's never been registered then it won't appear there.

There is no separate Vegas 8.0 forum. This forum covers all versions of Vegas.
