Whether or not to update now.

I'm currently running VMS HD Platinum 11.0, build 220. I've had a few crashes (something I never experienced in Platinum 10), but for the most part it's running well. I'm in the middle of editing a large HD project....again, some random crashes but nothing awful. Based on all the posts regarding problems with newer builds, would people recommend updating to build 295 now, or wait until I'm done with this big project before updating?
Thanks!

I doubt upgrading will have much effect on your performance. If you're experiencing random crashes, you may want to figure out what's causing these crashes (eg, a need to render your timeline, a mismatch between project properties and your source video) before they drive you crazy. But it's doubtful that installing the latest patch is going to help or hinder you, IMHO.

If you do decide to update, before you do, save your project with a few different names. After updating, only open one of those projects. This way, if you have issues with the new build, you can uninstall it an reload the earlier build and still have your project intact.

When I've done this, I've added the build number to the project name.
