Whew! France Tour video is done!

And it only took 11 months...

Shot in HDV, with 4-channel surround. Edited with Vegas7 on the Gearshifted version.

Took me a day to root out the "2 black frames" glitches, about 8 in all, and several audio dropout glitches.

Drove me nuts when I Gearshifted back into HDV and discovered that the audio on the front 2 channels (part of the m2t/DV files) shifted about 1 frame, which you can hear in surround. Pain in the neck.

Total video on the DVD is 2:25; video bitrate was 3.75Mb/sec avg, 1 min, 9 max. I encoded it with CinemaCraft, 4 passes, and was shocked by the good results given the bitrate. No spatial filtering on the video at all. I authored with DVDlabPro, which I really like. I need to play with DVD Architect one of these days.

Vegas never crashed, and the only PITA issues are the 1-frame audio shift and the 2-black-frame bug.

When the dust settles around here I will put up some clips. I've been spending so much time in front of the monitor that my reading glasses have gone up one notch in strength.

About 5% of the video is of hand-held walking, and those parts are DeShaken.
