Which ac3 filter?

Hi,
I produce my mpeg files with V7 and make them DVD with Nero 7.
Recently I bought Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 just for making DVD's which looks more professional.
My problem with Premiere Elements 3.0 is that it needs something ac3 filter.
At http://ac3filter.net/ I've found plenty of ac3 filters but could not decide which one to download.
Any suggession?
Will the making DVD/ encoding process be reduced with Premiere Elements then?
Thanks in advance.

I'd be sorely tempted to render the audio as PCM.WAV 48kHz 16bit out of Elements and come back to Vegas to render the AC3 from there. The sub $600 apart from Vegas7+DVD are rarely outfitted with anything but a consumer AC3 encoder. So while the work is endorsed by Dolby (ac3filter.net isn't afaik) the controls to handle various sources or delivery scenarios are not handled well. Although if you want basic stereo and to have little or no consideration for bitrate, level bias etc then if Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 can do this for you then go for it.

In fact, you'd be as well to ask the question in their forums too. e.g. "Why shouldn't I use Vegas+DVD to render my audio given that the AC3 encoder is built like a battle ship compared to the tug boat version in Elements?" Well, perhaps you can think of some better words than that!

Usually in the game of encoding, you use whatever works as long as it doesn't have too convoluted a workflow.

Thank you RBarlett. Your reply was very useful for me.

Is there any meaning to pose this question then :
While preparing an mpeg file with V7, I should arrange my audio settings so that there will be left so little work to Premiere Elements 3.0 to accomplish.
Is there any way for it?
If yes, what should be my Vegas audio settings?
