I have seen that blink3times and other super users have had the luck in Vegas Pro to use CFF EXPLORER to allow some exe and dll files to use more than 2 gigabyte RAM to avoid crashing when rendering AVCHD.

Does anyone have experience with which files in Vegas 10 HD Platinum + DVD Architect Studio 5 that should be allowed to use more than 2 gig RAM in order to render to m2ts 1920@16Mb/s with AC3 audio without crashing?

Here is the VMS 2GB thread:

Towards the bottom, aquaholik explains what he did for VMS 10.

You are running 64-bit, correct?

I couldn't get vms10p to work with .mov files (like many others) and tried the 2gb fix. My project loads fine, but the preview screen is a solid color. The audio plays well. I went back and did the 2gb fix for all the .dll and .exe files out of desperation without luck. In summary, I think the 2gb fix helped as all the files load properly - I just can't see the video in the preview window.

I am using Vista 64-bit. I tried to change the following files (in various directories)
VegasMovieStudioPE100.exe
VegasMovieStudioPE100k.dll
Sonymvd2pro_xp.dll
mcstdh264dec.dll
wmfplug4.dll

but I still in DVD Architect Studio 5.0 get the following error message when it is 99% finished doing the audio rendering
Problem: Unmanaged Exception (0xccccfffe)
Fault Module: C:\Windows\syswow64\kernel32.dll
Fault Address: 0x75C1E124
Fault Offset: 0x0001E124

Do I need to change other files to >2gig RAM?
Any other ideas?
