Which templates for TV?

BittenByTheBug wrote on 6/14/2010, 7:42 PM
So far my fun projects are for the web only, but I have always had the following questions:

1) If I want to make a clip for TV broadcasting, which types and templates should I use to render out? The source will be uncompressed AVI 1280 x 720 CG animation clips.

2) Besides making sure colors are legal, what else are important things to watch for?

TIA,
BBTB

depends who you're submitting it to.

safest bet is to ask for a specs sheet (.pdf) from the broadcaster - it'll tell you all the technicalities and formats accepted.

Thanks ushere. So there are specs sheets - good to know. I assume Vegas is capable of rendering out to these specs? I think at the moment that's all I need to know. This was a very forward-looking question.

do not presume vegas can handle ALL required formats. i don't have enough experience in this area nowadays, but from various other threads i've read here, there are some limitations....
