Only with a PAL <g>

Seems I'll be there.

"And on a side note, does anyone want to share a room to save money?'

We might have a spare room in the presidential suite at Wynns that we've booked :)

Seriously though we'll be at Circus Circus, I love the 'Vegas Grunge' feel of the place.

The last time I went I stayed at Circus because the price was right, but the wait for a taxi was loooong. I walked the mile in 100-degree heat faster than a taxi could have gotten me there. My wife wants me to stay at the Hilton this time. (This is the same wife who told me to go buy a big-screen TV for the basement. I think I'll keep her.)

I'm going with the $39 rooms in the tower at the Imperial Palace. It's a great location on the strip and even has a monorail station... How bad could it be, right? :)

Steve,
there's a free bus from Circus to the exhibition and back. In fact there's free bus services from most hotels.

circus circus is close enough that you can walk there faster. you can cut through the riviera (uh, don't get lost in there) and then walk through the parking lots.

I'll probably be there (working). And likely at the Riv.

I won't be able to make it this year due to my day job but will be watching the blogs. Have fun (especially the VASST crew dogs).

Just made arrangements to go this year. Any news on the day and time of the SCS user event?
Seth wrote on 1/28/2009, 6:47 AM
I will be there, possibly volunteering at the SCS booth again this year.

Hey Savant:

What were you doing there last year? I was around the booth a few times ( working with VASST ) - maybe I saw you and never knew it :).

Last year I was mostly up at the broadcast booth upstairs showing off the XDCAM EX workflow, right next to the two guys from Sony who spoke very halting English, and were showing off the MPEG2 hardware renderer (that never got produced). I was only helping out for the last two or three days of the show. Oh yeah, I was at the user event helping to usher everyone to their seats as well.

Ah - I never made it to the Sony booth unfortunately - Barely get out of the booth I work when I go there to work, but that's probably because I end up making sure that everyone else has had a chance to get around, since there's really very little there that interests me except taking a look at any new cams, and just walking the floor a bit.

"... Barely get out of the booth I work when I go there to work ...."

What booth would that be?

'"... Barely get out of the booth I work when I go there to work ...."'

VASST Booth the last 2 years, and Sony Broadcast HDXchange the year before that.
