Why am I getting a "DFSC VFW CODEC" message?

When I render a file using 30p and try to open in DVD-A I get an error dialogue box
DFSC VFW CODEC
"DFSC is not serving. Check Again?"

What is going on?

It seems that if I leave the project "untitled" it gives me the error BUT if I save the
project as lets say "30P.mpg" it works?
