WHY can't I buy VF????

This is getting ridiculous - I've been *trying* (over half a dozen times now, over three or four dates) to purchase VF from the online store. In the past I have bought both SoundForge and Acid Pro without any problem, but each time I get to the 'confirm order' page, press the 'complete order' button, and get a *&%$ webserver error**. I have emailed Customer Services, but have only received automated (i.e. useless 'we have received your email') responses.

Since I am in the UK, this is the only way I can buy SoFo products...

Whether this is a byproduct of the site redesign, I don't know - If I hadn't procrastinated over download vs. packaged, VF vs. VV, I would have placed the order on the old site - maybe it would've worked...

Grrrr.

John, I bought via the old site a couple of times and it worked flawlessly. If there's a general problem I suspect it will get fixed PDQ!

You can buy the boxed version of VF in the UK, but it's about 2.5 times more expensive that way. It's an incentive to keep trying!

I've been getting tons of server errors at this site since the redesign. Be patient. Kevin will be back at work first thing monday morning and i'm sure it will all get fixed quickly. Of course, that will be monday afternoon for you.

Just tried again - no luck... I wonder if it's me, or whether there is a site problem?

Anyone from SoFo there?? The only contact I'm getting is automated responses to my emails...

Could be something on your end. I just tried to access the online store and buy VF, and got through to the order page and checkout page without any problem.

Just curious, you located outside the U.S.?

Try clearing your cache.

Apparently there was a problem with international ordering... I had already tried clearing cache etc. etc. - and the problem only occurred when I hit the final 'confirm order' button - the rest of the store worked Ok.

Ah well - I now have some more software to play with at least!
