I used to go to import media and then choose the contents that I required. Then I would type *.mxf in the search box and all the .mxf files would then arrive and I would open them in the media bin. Now I cannot do this. I may have missed an update or two but I do not know what what to do. Are there any clever people out there who perhaps could help me? vegas 13 pro.

Try just typing mxf on its own not *.mxf It's working for me in VP13 build 453 and VP14 build 161.
Make sure of course that you have the correct drive or folder selected in the left column.
If that doesn't help, please explain your exact steps (what you click and type including <ENTER> if you press that) so we can try to reproduce. Also what happens when it fails, for example does it just stop and say "Working on it..." in the centre-top?
