Why does a Mpeg2 become larger when made to an ISO

Hi - movie studio creates an mpeg2 that is 24.5gb - so add a bit for menus and I should be good. But then dvd architect generates an iso which comes out at 27GB !

So what gives ? I thought ISO's were a perfect replication of a file.

Secondly how much time can I realistically expect on the time line to fit a 25GB disc?

Did you add your audio size?
Are you aware that ISOs are indexed?

Blu-ray 25gb single side disc expectation.
Encode Mpeg2 and Audio AC-3 streams
Get 54 minutes of runtime of program at high quality.

Encoding such a disc in DVDAPro will take over 6 six hours of prepare time and approx 2.5 hrs burn time per disc copy
