Why does is take so much longer to render...Vegas 3 compared to Vegas 4

What am I doing wrong. I have a Windows Media Video that I want to convert to a VCD NTSC to burn to a cd. When I render it with Vegas Video's 3.0 VCD defaults it takes about 6 minutes to render it. When I try to render it in Vegas 4.0's defaults for VCD it takes about and hour and 40 minutes. This is using each programs predefined vcd template. I have not changed anything. Should this really take this much longer?? Thanks.............

Thanks SonicDennis, but I have over 1,800 clips and usually 6 or 8 clips fit into my hour project for dvd. So I will have a lot of select all then turn that switch off.

At anyrate, I loved v3.0c but now must adapt...since v3.0c will not let me work with mpeg files after installing v4.0 ..

I hope in a maintence/bug/would like to see revision that resampling can be turned off permentaly.

Can this be turned off through scripting? If you have a script enumerate all clips and turn it off, the number of clips wouldn't matter.
