Why does The text/media generators lags a lot if I open it?

if I open and try to type in there it lags and same goes with splitting or deleting videos it gives an insane amount of lag until it updates it I have a decent pc i5 6400 and gtx 970,8 GB ram I use the legacy text btw.

Doesn't lag here. Need more info. See FAQ's for diagnosing performance.
