The Zippy reduction filter was part Of VV3.0. SoFo removed it in V4 because nobody liked it. It didn't work well when combined with other filters.

Seems like Zippy is one guy everyone here loves to hate. Why do you guys give him attention, that's all he really wants and he's getting more than his share. Take a look at any of his posts and you'll see what I mean.

Just ignore him, he's like a nagging little dog. Ignore him and he'll go bother someone else....probably get dog spit all over your hand before he goes tho'.

I know that I usually browse through these mesageboards while I am at work, and it gives me a good laugh whenever I read the Zippy posts and replies, he may be a whiner, but it gives me a good laugh and is a nice break from the busy days!

That's a good question.

From the company standpoint SonyEPM could hardly say anything else. But why say anything at all?

How about this? When a forum becomes evangelistic it's no longer very useful. Consider Apple. Their users have been so wildly hallucinogenic that Apple has had a hard time viewing their product objectively. Maybe SonyEPM wants to encourage constructive criticism.

Granted, Zippy is just inflamatory. He could make the same observations without being such an ass. But I don't think it's in Vegas' best interests to squash criticism.

I'd been reluctant to "Ignore" zippy up till now but I think I will. At least I won't be the first to respond to him.
