Why no ASIO? Is there a work-around?

Hi
I have a dedicated audio-only system with only a Digirack002 and ASIO drivers.
I use CDA 5.2 for burning my CDs and use SoundForge 8. for mastering pre-burning.

i am pretty sure that the audio technician who set up the hardware & software got CDA to accept the digirack. Or was I just dreaming?

can anyone suggest a driver or should I install an audio card that has its own drivers .e.g. soundblaster - just for ensuring the audio is lined up correctly in CDA?

I am preparing to pack up my studio as I am moving, but would like to get all the audio gear working properly when i install it in the new studio.

Why is it that Soundforge and Acid are OK with ASIO - but not CDA????

Many Thanks if you can help me!

CDA will play back through the Digi 002R. You have to install the Digidesign WaveDriver for Windows. Note the Digidesign Wave Driver is only supported on Windows XP (Not Supported With Windows Vista). With the wave driver installed, the Digi 002R can be selected as the output device on the CDA mixer tab (the output selector is next to the plug-in chainer button) or on the Options-Perferences-Preview menu.
