Why this popping sound?

I am just getting Vegas 4.0 set up. My project sounds fine through the program but has popping sounds at the edits when burned to a cd. why would this be?

Edits ? Maybe you've snipped things at points other than 'zero crossings', resulting in sharp edge transients. Try enabling auto fades (hope I've got that right - late here, too much beer..

Depdending on the type of edits, autofading will make your edits painfully obvious. Try crossfading your events. Make sure your events overlap and crossfade them just a couple of milliseconds. I know what your trying to do Blackhawk, I do it all the time when I create my dance mixes for the radio.

the clicks and pops were documented glitches in 4.0a, and they seem to occaisonally be rendering for me on 4.0b too
but mostly fixed
