WIDESCREEN DVD

after rendering a video from Vegas in widescreen, should it then be set up in Architect as widescreen? I did this, only to find that the top and bottom black borders appeared on the widescreen tv that I tested the DVD on. How do I make the DVD so it fits the whole screen, which it should?

Yes - Somewhere aI believe there is a setting for 4:3 or 16:9. ALso th emedia should have settings as well....if you rendered out using the DVD-A widescreen setting it should come up ok.

By any chance is your DVD player set at 4:3 output? If you have a 16:9 coded'flagged DVD and your player is set to output 4:3 you will get the black bars. As long as the media is output to Mpg correctly your DVD should alsobe fine - you hsopuld be able to preview it at the correct aspect in your DVD authoring program as wel, if it previews at 16:9 that you should be fine. if it has the black bars on playback my first thought it to, as I said, check the DVD player set up.
