I don't know what happens i have the latest build of Vegas Video and i capture a widescreen Pal Dv file setting my preview capture window in that template, start a project with the widescreen dv pal template and add the file to the media pool. Once i open it in the Trimmer i can see the correct size of the frames picture(In trimmer), also i see the correct size of the frames in Timeline, but in Preview windows shows a 4:3 mode and if i select the "display at`project size option" I see a widescreen preview windows, but the image is like a Zoom of what i got in trimmer and timeline (trimmer and timeline shows the correct image). What´s happening? I didn´t modify anything and this shouldn´t be happening. Thanks

See if you have the preview window set to "Display at project size"

The "Display at project size" option has nothing to do with this. What you need to set is the "Display Square Pixels" option. I tested this and it works. Squashed sides with Square Pixels off, correct with it on.

You're right! My bad. Display square pixels set to on.

If the preview window is kept at it's default size, and display at project size is enabled, it could look a little strange(cropped/"zoomed"). However, he didn't say if the preview window was resized, so..........

Your forgiven! ;-)

Actually, I think he did say the picture looked zoomed when he enabled "Display at Project Size".

Anybody know what happens if you leave "Display Square Pixels" enabled all the time for other video size formats? I haven't noticed a difference in 4:3 footage. Any reason not to enabled it?
