Will there be a printed Manual offer soon?

Under Sonic Foundry there was a way of getting a nice printed Vegas 4.0 book but now I cannot find that. Will SONY be doing this again??? I would rather pay for a manual then having to either A: Print it using my DeskJet (Very expensive) B: Taking it to a copy place. (more expensive than buying the book offer)!

SONY, Please bring back the printed book offers for all your software!

The book offer was from a 3rd party that went away due to costs of printing. Your best bet is to have it printed at Kinkos. If you don't want color, it will cost you around 16.00, drilled and printed 2 sides. If you want color, it's about 32.00, drilled and 2 sided. That's only 4.00 more than the web offer was anyway.
It's not gone as a result of Sony, it's gone as a result of the licensed printer.

There's always the DV and Audio production Book.

Or is that the book you were referring to?

No, that's an entirely different book. The link you posted is really a workbook/educational book complete with tests, etc.

If you're lucky you can use your employers high capacity laser printer... but then that would be unethical though wouldn't it... :)

Not necessarily, if you use Vegas as part of your job. I certainly do.

Every Sony (SoFo) manual I've ever used was printed off my own InkJet printer. Set your quality to draft - you still get the gist of the pics & all of the text (the most important part). It doesn't even come close to eating up an ink cartridge, so I'm not sure where this "high cost" is coming from. It's a bit of work, yes, but not that expensive.
