A politician couldnt have fielded that one any better!

I will GUARANTEE that there will be some cool new audio features, and I will say no more about them until the public beta (no date).

How about this:

1) phase switches, how long can we go calling ANYTHING " pro " that doesnt have a phase switch???
Even better, have the switch in the channel controls AND on the right click menu of an event so that you could also choose phase by clip? Neato!!! Doesnt sound too hard( I hope )

2)right click for " open copy in audio editor" lets you choose more than one editor, comeon now and admit ONE editor app isnt best at EVERYTHING! If sf5 let you choose selections even while the chainer window was open maybe we could all live with it but come now, why limit us?

3)Append/ Prepend name to selected tracks button: What a BIG pain to manually throw the song name onto every track!!! Even better also have a " append/ prepend track number to selected tracks" I say this is valuable because we dont have a :

4) batch converter: Right click an event and " add COPY to batch " As it stands now I gotta manually put every song title on every track if I want to batch it, other wise its digging through folder hell! Ever give a thought that while vegas is great for one song at a time, MANY of the same fx/editing settings in a wav editor will work on other songs on the album? Tom1 here she comes.wav will likely need the same editing and plug-ins that further on down the album tom1 Let her Be.wav will need. PLEASE give us a chance to save some time, making up for all the time lost while this thing crashes our computers!

5) Midi fader control, track fader and volume envelopes all nice and integrated like, same for the fx sends, pans and such.

6) Templates, save a mix and open a different one with that old mixe's settings...woo hooo....remember, some of us are doing albums here.

7) Input monitoring, how in the WORLD are you supposed to record " auto input style " with vegas? Us old tapeheads cannot get used to this strange way of monitoring!

tons more Im sure but these features would be nice!

Good to hear. Any cool new video features aswell? Maybe some enhancements in the compositing area to save me having to buy a copy something like DFX+ ?

good question, I wish there was a video only forum, I have a number of Video feature requests, but that doesn't seem to get discussed much around here....I got no reply on my IMAPI question.

A master output volume would also be helpful.

As would a software app that would help to locate all audio files not associated with any Vegas project.
