So my tech tells me I should do a clean install. Im using 8.1 right now. I have sent email to tech support butt have not heard back. Do I go to my account page and download the update ( or the entire program?) after the computer is running Windows 10? Have any of you done this so far and what should I watch out for?
Thank you.

You can install new copies of nearly any program from these links.

The updates are the full version of the software. If you don't have your serial number, you can get that from your "My Account > My Software" page.

As for Windows 10, every clean install I have attempted has worked just fine, with the exception that I had to manually install a couple old Win7 drivers for older hardware that didn't have a dedicated Windows 10 driver.

A clean install is most always a better option than just updating the OS (problems are common). A little more work, backing up files and re-installing apps, utilities, ect., but worth it IMO.
