Win 2000 / Vegas Device Problem

I am trying to set up a Vegas 7 trial on an old IBM Avid MC1000 machine. I installed a 1394 card.

Vegas 7 trial seems to work fine but will not recognize a Sony DSR-20 or a Sony PD170 ("Please connect a device.") Both were connected by 1394.

Device manager says the drivers for 1394 card are "1394bus.sys" and "ohci1394.sys".

Any suggestions?

does windows or any other software recognize the devices?

Could very well be an issue with the MB depending on how old it is.

Somehow I figured it out. Wrong driver for the Sony DV devices. Deleted current driver and used msdv driver as mentioned in Sony/Sonic Foundry documentation.
