Is any available for Vegas? I hate to use the "Wind" setting on the V1, whose lower frequencies are not great anyway...

Get a dead cat. Prevention is always better than any post fix.

Couldn't agree more. There's really no way to get rid of these problems in post.
If you want the best wind prevention get a DPA blimp. Kind of expensive though it even comes with a rain cap.

True, true.

Almost everything we do is shot on the Gulf -- sometimes with lavaliers, sometimes with the "shotgun" that came with the PD170. One of our local geeks examined Rycote and other similar wind screens and built things that perform as well, but cost a whole lot less. We use them all the time, and they work sorta okay!

Beyond that, I get passable results with NR2. Not pretty, not fun, but sometimes you have to live with reality.
