Generally, you should make a habit of saving the installer, a text file with the registration number, a link to the website, and copies of whatever email correspondence you have. It just makes it easier later.

It's rare that you can just move the files from computer to computer because there are registry entries that also need to be duplicated, so you really should go online to the Pixelan website www.pixelan.com to get a new installer.

I found this note on the Pixelan site:

Can't find your serial number? If you still have our confirmation email when you originally bought the product direct from us, the serial number is shown there. It is also visible if you double-click the Pixelan logo in the plug-in's window. Still can't find it? If you bought direct from us, tell us that on our order form and we will look up your prior order in our database.

If the software is licensed this should not be an issue unless Pixelan are two guys working on their lunch break at Office Depot.

Ordinarily you are allowed to run one copy of most software on a single machine. That means if you delete it from your old machine you are licensed to run it on your new one.

Contact them.

Alternately you could try the various methods of using the Windows XP Files and Settings Transfer Wizard.

"Unless Pixelan are two guys..."

Nope, they're not. I've had to contact them (did it via email) a couple of times. They will send you the serial number provided they have your order on file. If you ordered direct from Pixelan, they will have it. Very efficient and helpful company, rare these days. Right ULEAD/Corel?
