I use both and they both work fine with Vegas 2.0 and 3.0 (for me anyway).

TOM,

WHICH VERSION DO YOU USE? HOME EDITION OR THE PROFESSIONAL VERSION ( I THINK THAT HOW IT'S CALLED...). I KNOW THAT XP WORKS WITH V.V., BUT I AM WONDERING IF I CAN GET BY WITH THE HOME VERSION...NO NEED FOR ALL THE BELLS & WHISTLES FROM THE PROFESSIONAL VERSION...AT LEAST I THINK.

THANKS

I've tried on both, but I think the guts are the same. Some differences I've noticed:

- Pro version supports domain servers... Home only workgroups.
- No IIS in Pro version
- Slightly better security in Pro version
- Probably other server related stuff.
- Multiple CPU support in Pro version.

If you are using at home and don't need special server requirements I'd go for the Home version and save the $$$. If you need to work with a dedicated domain server or some of the other features, you will have to pay the extra $100 and get the Pro version.
