Windows xp pack 3?

I am using windows XP pro pack 3.
I want to import my cassette from my HDR-HC9 to my PC.
I noticed in First step guide that Windows XP SP2 is required to import HDV format videos. Do I need to change to pack 2?

It's doubtful. Generally Windows updates are backwards compatible. If it says you need a specific version/release/level and you're beyond that you should be fine.

Have you tried the import?
