Hi all,
I'm trying to get ahead of the curve a bit, and have started doing 360 degree videos. I don't see anywhere in Vegas Pro 14 that accommodates this process. (I've gotten cautious about assuming it is not in SVP!)
I have had to use Cyberlink Power Director to process the 360 videos. But I'm not delighted with Power Director for editing. So, I've made the initial edit to conform (stitch) the 2 180 degree images into one, then importing into SVP14 to do the balance of the editing. But doing that, strips the necessary EXIF info from the video that makes it 360. So I have to add that via another step. And the additional rendering time is huge, even for a short video. Sure would be great to be able to do it all in SVP.
Another issue that the above process creates is that the text, added in SVP, takes on a curved look, which is not desired. Sure would like to figure out how to make the text read straight. The text that I added in this one (below) was not intended to be straight. I figured, if I can't make it straight, I'd try to capitalize on the curve.
For those not familiar, place your mouse cursor anywhere on the image, hold the left mouse button down, and turn in any direction: up/down, left/right, to look all around the camera position.
Here is an example of one that I did, using the above method.
