WMV to .mov

I have a 5MB file that I am trying to make to QuickTime and I am using Vegas 5.0

But when it makes the file the new .mov file is 1.0GB ????

Why so big and how can I make this file

you need to specify the bitrate you want the Quicktime to use. Sounds like you're rendering from WMV to uncompressed. Musta been real slow, too...
Render as> .mov>Custom>then select the format, compression, and resolution you want.
