Workflow, cables, connections…hypothetical, theoretical…

Dear Fellow Vegranties

I have a question, if you please.

A) I shoot with my new HDR-FX1, import into Vegas 5c using CineForm’s Connect HD, edit, and here my masterpiece sits on the timeline, quivering with excitement, waiting to be rendered by my 3.06 hyper colluding whatever half decent desktop computer.

B) A VPL-HS51 front projector hangs gracefully from the ceiling in my studio waiting to shine its sumptuous light; the darkest deep blacks, heavenly whites, not to mention the colors so rich, and everything in-between…on a state-of-the-art screen. The VPL-HS51 accepts component video and HDMI. My clients are all sitting cocktail comfortable…full of expectation…waiting…

How do I BEST get from A to B?

Suggestions gratefully received.

John

I want to know where you got Vegas 5c first.

Send your clients home (or give them more cocktails) until this gets resolved.

ATI makes a VGA to component out, that's likely your best option at the moment. Matrox's new DVI Parhelia is a month away, there are actually lots of VGA to Y/Pb/Pr available adaptors for very little cost.
