Didn't sound all that wrong to me. If it is an aerial shot for example.

But beginning with a detail shot could be more classy/ artistic I guess.
And could show directly what it is about but that depends on the subject.
If it is about the 'vast nothingness of space' then it is going to be a very wide shot.

Or am I missing something here?

Yes. It was the "always" that kinda clinched it for me. And again, as you implied, it's ALL about the narrative.

Great stuff. "Uploading 2 TB for apparently urgent meeting in the morning." I have been asked to do that before by a client who was adamant that he needed to see "camera originals." When meeting time came around he was happy with .png screen grabs.
