You can do it with a photo editor, like PhotoShop. It isn't integrated, though.

It's always tought to know where to draw the line. If you put to much stuff in, the program gets tough to use, gets buggy, etc.

Having said that, I agree that it would be great if Sony would let you create a link to an external photo editor (like PhotoShop, Painshop Pro, Photoimpact, etc.), much like they do with their own sound editor. You could then simply right-click on the photo and select "Edit" and that photo would be launched inside of your photo editor. This would be very simply to add to the program, I'm quite sure.

The right click idea does sound great. They could have 2: One for "Open Frame in External Editor" and one for "Open movie in video processing applicarion". The 2nd one would be so you could use After Effects, Boris, Particule Illusion, whatever you wanted.

It wouldn't be a wonder, life altering feature, but would be useful in certain situations. And I bet if SoFo made a picture editing program, it would be in there.

Not sure if this would help but I edit my photos in Photoshop after they are on the timeline quite often. In fact I replace them totally without going into Vegas as long as I save them as the same name as the file on the timeline. Since Vegas is really just pointing to the file on the hard drive, you don't have to fire Vegas up to edit them. Or, you can open your photo editor and Vegas at the same time and edit the photo outside of Vegas as you edit in Vegas. Does this help in any way?
