WOW---Vegas build 595 ate my .veg file

I have been working on a simple project for an event video, just several video and audio tracks, no graphics yet, a little bit of pan/crop, some color correction, and one instance where I have created a simple mask so I could change the color of something that someone was wearing. VP 11 build 595 has puked several times already.

I was changing a pan/crop keyframe when it puked again, only this time when I went to re-open the .veg file (by clicking FILE and selecting the project at the very top of the list) it told me the file does not exist. So I went to select it again, and it was gone from the list. I went into the folder where the file was, using Windows explorer, and the file was NOT there. Huh! The autosave file was a couple hours old, but luckily the backup .veg file was still there and only 15 minutes old, so I used that to get back in.

The GPU on my 560Ti has been turned off, sadly, as I have had MANY problems getting anything to render even with 595. I am running an i7-950. This version of Vegas has been such a disappointment. I started on Vegas 3, and I have never had this happen.

Has anyone else seen this? Any idea what it might be?

Is there any way to open a project in an earlier version once it has been saved in 11? I wanna go back to 9 or 10...

No way to open a .veg file in a previous version, sorry. However, with both your project open in 11 and a previous Vegas open at the same time you could try selecting everything in the 11 project, copying it, and pasting it into the older version. You won't get track header settings but most everything in the tracks should copy.

The big thing when you copy and paste between versions is that it only works between the 32 bit versions. Open the 32 bit versions of v10 and v11 and you can copy and paste between them. It won't currently work between the 64 bit versions.
