XDCam HD transfer not working

Hello All,

I'm running Vegas 7.0b and I can't seem to get XDCam HD File Transfer to work via firewire. When I hook up the deck, Windows beeps - says it found the new hardware and it is ready to use - in those fancy balloon windows.

The deck however does not show up anywhere that I can see. The only place I see it is on the task bar and the only option there is to "safely remove it".

In the Sony Vegas XDCam Exporer window, I'm unable to set the device because the deck does not show up under my computer - or anywhere else I'm able to browse to.

I have set the deck to remote and changed to I-link .FAM in the menus. Still no luck.

What am I doing wrong? Is there something simple I'm missing? Is it a driver issue?

I'm running Windows XP Pro with Service pack 2.

Make sure that you have installed the FAM drivers that are on the PDZ-1 disc that came with the camera/deck.

I'll head to the office shortly and try that. The deck is a rental so I'll have to find the drivers online.
