Sony folks say it's fine, with some minor "gotchas" that aren't related to Sony.

It is mostly security related, full of patches to plug holes. If you feel safe on the internet (firewall, virus scanner, spyware tools) then wait and let others suffer the bugs and breakdowns.

I've been running it on all of my systems since Tuesday with no problems whatsoever. I had tried the first release candidate earlier in the year and removed it due to a few minor incompatibilities.

If it's any consolation, the uninstall for SP2 works well and removes it cleanly if you find you need to.
