So I have a series of stills, 173 to be exact on the timeline. If the project settings are at 4:3 they take up the entire screen, at 16x9 they are rectangular and in in the middle of the screen but the right and left sides have black bars so that they don't stretch to the end.
This scene will be going into a film shot on the XL2 in 16x9 mode and should look the same, I would like the pictures to go all the way to the edges on the left and right with the correct bars on the top and bottom, or should I say filling the entire screen of a 16x9 television. In other words, I don't want it letterboxed, the project is 16x9. Not sure how to make this work, or moreover, since it's already edited and it was pretty tedious, how to make this change as painless as possible.
And one thing I have noticed in the past when making a letterboxed video ( although this will be 16x9 ) for 4:3 using 16x9 footage from the XL2 is that if you bring in other media ( Not XL2 16x9 ) and use Pan/Crop choosing the 16x9 preset to try to match it with the XL2 footage, it is not the same as the XL2 footage. There is a noticeable jump in the letterbox between the two.
Hope I explained this well, something's are hard to get when your not looking at it. Feel free to ask questions if I was unclear.
