Yet Another Prepare DVD roadblock

I too, cannot seem to prepare a DVD properly. I'm using a supposedly compliant mpeg2 file rendered from Vegas. My error is similar to others but the error number ends in 004 instead of 001. I've tried rebooting etc.. 4 times with the same result. I've also tried both DVDA 1.0 and 1.0a.

What does this error point to ? Is there anything I can do quickly. I have to get this project out the door ASAP.

"Warning - An error occurred while writing a file. Error 0x80047004 (message missing)"

The same result occurred with "Prepare DVD" and "Prepare DVD and Burn"

Thanks for the help.

Disable the DLA mode (uncheck box in dvd windows properties) if you have the veritas software installed. Give this a try I had a different error message but this only takes a minute to do and may fix the problem. Is the file you captured a big file because I notice it happens more often with a big captured file than a smaller one you may want to lower the bitrate.

This error is being displayed, because the sub-picture highlighing (which is a part of each menu) is too complex and thus exceeds the DVD specification limits. (The complexity is due to the fact that the menus in your project have a lot of text, and you chose the highlighting style to be "Mask overlay".)

To get around this:
1. Choose a hilighting style that does not create masks based on the text shape. (Such as "Rectangle" or "Image mask overlay".)
- OR -
2. Shorten your link text descriptions on each menu.
- OR -
3. Make the link text size smaller on each menu.
