Context is we were talking about how to use Cullen Kelly's linear-gamma white balancing technique (which is outstanding) in a Vegas 8-bit project.

I don't know about all the crashing, but Vegas is an editing tool that I enjoy using. It's not perfect, but it edits the way I think a NLE should.
