OK, we've got our share of misanthropes here (I've been thought one of them at times), but following a particularly unpleasant exchange on a public forum (which I won't name), I've never appreciated the relative civilization we have here more than now.
Noted: You have to own and register the software to post in the SCS forums.
You have no idea what that alone does to manage the responder base. Yes, we've got our wannabees, cranks, kooks, and maybe a crook or two, but the "investment" piece translates to more overall responsibility and civility than one might imagine if one never stepped outside to other public video and audio internet "discussion" venues.
Just my 2 cents. I have gained a new-found appreciation for what we have here. After all, most of the photos on the "What do you look like" thread are of human beings.
