Your computer is below the minimum specifications

I am trying to open Vegas Image.

I am getting an OpelCL error, "Sorry, your computer is below the minimum specifications to run this program."

My system specs are high:

- Windows 11
- i9-10850k cpu
- 64 GB Corsair RAM
- 4 hard drives, smallest is 2 GB, all SSD. Tons of space.
- AMD Radeon RX 580 (might be the problem since it is the oldest component, but shouldn't be). 8 GB RAM

All are above the listed and the recommended system specs (https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/specifications/#productMenu)

Does anyone know why I am getting this error?

Those are the recommended specs for VEGAS Pro, VEGAS Image's are different, but your system still meets them.

Could be a driver issue perhaps? Try updating your GPU driver using the help menu in VEGAS Pro, there's a driver update utility.

I would guess that it is a driver issue with the GPU that is causing the problem.

Thanks for your response. My video AMD driver is the latest. I have a message to support, but their auto memo suggests they are slammed (new release and all). Any other recommendations are welcome (I'll post the fix here when done).

It was the video driver. Windows did an overnight update and replaced the AMD driver. When I restored it to the latest version then everything worked.

The lastest version has problems with VEGAS documented on this forum. Try 23.7.2 to avoid a channel issue that turns things blue.

Thank you Roger. I didn't go to 23.7.2--instead I saw a download for the Pro Edition for the r580x series (in the same section as the most recent driver, but highlighted specifically for video, CAD, etc. vs the Adrenaline Editiion for gaming). I installed that (even though it was 2022 Q4) and... problem solved.

Thank you.

Yes, you can go way older too. Plenty of people use the Adrenaline drivers for VEGAS.
