Youtuber claims he's sponsered by Magix / giving away Vegas Pro 16

So this guy claims that Magix reached out to him and gifted 3 copies of Vegas Pro 16 to him, and is also doing a giveaway now.

I find this weird because he's shown how to crack Vegas illegally in the past, and wonder if he's really sponsered or is just lying and giving away free cracks.

 

can anyone confirm this?

The possible free cracks might not be the biggest problem - the question is what could be in the .exe file that you will receive and install on your PC.

What I mean is that many internet homepages named like some known brands do promise latest drivers etc etc - but you never know what is in the .exe files that you download and install.

Yesterday I was searching for a new driver for a Samsung scanner/printer - but had to skip 2 or 3 Google hits before I came to the right place.

Take care: a lot of malware is lurking out there..

It might be real. Other youtuber's who do vegas tutorials are also doing vegas pro giveaways. In the case of one example he's said something like 'retail boxed version' meaning (I guess) the same as buying it in a box from a brick and mortar store.

If he's as dodgy as you say he is, he'll prob give the copies away to his friends or ebay & you wont' really have a chance of winning
