Z1 capture and TimeCode ...

Up till now I've only captured HDV a whole tape at a time, and the TimeCode has come out ok after capture.
Yesterday however I captured just the second half of a tape, and whilst I had been careful to make sure there were no breaks in timecode on the camera, the timecode on the captured clip of the second half started at Zero instead of around 00:30:00:01.

The strange thing was that the correct timecode was registering on the Vegas Internal Capture screen during capture, so the information was getting across - just didn't get through to the Event Thumbnail.

As I trial, I did the same thing with Cineform's Connect HD and again got a clip starting at Zero. I'll have to go back and capture the whole tape again!

Does anyone know if this is the Camera or the software?

I had one tape I captured all the way through with Cineform and it was ok. Another tape started to glitch about 1/2 way through so I captured it in "three sections, overlapping each section and it was fine. The area of concern on the tape which would not capture properly captured fine when I did it in three sections. Hooked them all together without any problem. Sorry, but did not notice the timingcode. Cineform (standalone 2.1) also converted them fine. The tape that was giving me problems was one that I had viewed, removed, rewound, viewed again, rewound and started some time after the in-between stop. So it might be a timing issue. It also might be a "cell-phone " issue as it was of a memorial service on Memorial Day.
