ZippyGalloo - your preview problem

Zippy:

1) AVID - you probaly need an AVID Mojo and CPU, about 10,000$ for all hardware and NTSC monitor. If you cannot afford a 3.0 Mhz PC with about 2 gig RAM and dual monitors, I guess this option is probably a bit pricey.

2) Preview: If you buy a Matrox X100 you get REAL TIME PREVIEW ALL THE TIME AT FULL RESOLUTION ON AN EXTERNAL NTSC MONITOR SUCH AS A SONY SONY PVM-14M2U C/W 16:9 WIDE SCREEN OPTION.

3) I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU IGNORE PEOPLE'S SUGGESTIONS AND PERSIST POSTING NONSENSE.

IF YOU WANT SUPER GOOD REAL TIME GENUINE NTSC PREVIEW BUY A HARDWARE CARD> IF YOU DO NOT LIKE MATROX GET A CANOPUS STORM2 OR GO FOR AN AVID MJO.

DAMN, MY CAP KEY IS STUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PB--

Chill out a bit, or maybe just click 'ignore this user' if you're that bent out of shape.
I've been trolling these boards for a few years now... if it's not a Zippy, then it's a JoeD. If it's not a JoeD, then it's someone else...

It's really not a big deal-- and occasionally, people will actually have information that you'll find helpful.

Besides, his posts are interesting. Enough said.

David.

David,

I truly feel sorry for Zippy and want to help him regain his equilibrium. I know how maddening it can be when one's tools don't do the job -- the AVID Media Composer I am chained to does not have the 16:9 feature, meaning I have to "squish" the edited video stream then render (as I have been doing since 7:30 AM) before I can lay in the titles then it is output as letterboxed 16:9. Sucks but it is the fastest way for me to cut the WS BetaSX stuff. I encouraged Himself to go the X100 route because it is a good product if one has to edit with clients present.

However, I have engaged the Ignore User function as you suggested.
