Content and features from previously purchased versions of Music Maker can be activated for use using the serial number for each version. This option can be used for serial numbers from Music Maker MX, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, Techno Edition 5, Techno Edition 6, Hip Hop Edition 5, Hip Hop Edition 6, Rock Edition 5, Rock Edition 6, Movie Score Edition, Soundtrack Edition and Music Studio. 

The following content and features can be activated:

• Number of tracks
• Formats and codecs
• Instruments
• Presets

Soundpools from older versions of Music Maker cannot be activated in the Store.
To use these Soundpools, copy them directly to your computer from the DVD.

To learn how to unlock features and content from previously purchased versions of Music Maker in the new Music Maker, follow these instructions:

1. Download Music Maker Free from 
   http://www.magix.com/en/music-maker/ and install it.
2. Click on "Help > Activated content" button. 

Contents and features of older versions that are already installed on the computer are automatically listed and can be unlock by clicking on "Activate".

1. Click on "Activate".
2. A new dialog will open asking you to sign in to your MAGIX account.

      3. Unlocked editions will be listed on screen.
      4. Click on "Close" to complete the procedure. 

       5. Now a list appears with all contents which can be downloaded.
       6. You can customize the selection as you like.

Contents and features of older versions that are NOT already installed on your computer can also be activated via the menu " Help > Show Start Dialog > MAGIX Account > Activate".
