Error message: "Missing license" after installation

This problem is caused by a faulty installation of the file "installation.ini".
The following steps allow the problem to be resolved quickly:

  1. Close your software.
  2. Navigate to your application's main folder and delete the "installation.ini" file. 
  3. Uninstall the program from the Control Panel under "Programs and Features" or "Settings & Apps".
  4. Reinstall your software.

Depending on the program version in use you will find the file "installation.ini" under the path:

  • C:\ProgramData\VEGAS\VEGAS_Pro_14
  • C:\ProgramData\VEGAS\VEGAS_Pro_15
  • C:\ProgramData\VEGAS\VEGAS_Pro_16
  • C:\ProgramData\VEGAS\VEGAS_Pro_17
  • C:\ProgramData\VEGAS\VEGAS_Movie_Studio_14
  • C:\ProgramData\VEGAS\VEGAS_Movie_Studio_15
  • C:\ProgramData\VEGAS\VEGAS_Movie_Studio_16
  • C:\ProgramData\VEGAS\VEGAS_Movie_Studio_17
  • C:\ProgramData\VEGAS\VEGAS_Movie_Studio_14_Platinum
  • C:\ProgramData\VEGAS\VEGAS_Movie_Studio_15_Platinum
  • C:\ProgramData\VEGAS\VEGAS_Movie_Studio_16_Platinum
