  Vegas Pro 23 Render to MP3 Mono
  I am attempted to render a audio-only mp3 project at mono. Where is the mono setting for mp3 in Pro 23? It's not available as a custom option in the render Custom gui.

  It may not be related but due to the nature of their compression MP3 audio isn't suitable for accurate editing. Try converting one of your mp3 files to wav and see if that makes any difference.

  I rendered to mp4 cpu HEVC AC3 (h265) and I have constant 50fps - the same as you But when I renders to mp4 Nvidia AVC+AC3 (h264) and I get 50.116FPS. So it is because of Nvidia, no matter if I render to h265 nor h264.

  A 24 kb/s bitrate for AAC, MP3 or other lossy format is unusable IMO.As @bitman stated 192 kb/s is a "tad" on the lower quality but it would not sound anywhere as awful as 24 kb/s.
