RE: Vegas Pro 21 - 315 Crashing
Control+shift and double click the desktop shortcut to revert to default settings. The meaning of the settings did change from pre build 300 to post. Many crashes are associated with media if you can share MediaInfo for what you mainly use. You

RE: VEGAS Pro 20 Build 214 General Thread
First impression is Build 214 is looking more stable than its predecessor. I edited GoPro 4K footage shot at two different FPS (by accident 60/24) with no freeze issues in either editing or rendering. The update notes specifically state there was a

Impoted music doesn't work
Hello to everyone, I have got a strange problem with the audio. I never had this problem before, maybe I changed settings accidentally but now I can't find it. I am a user of Vegas Pro 17 and when I create a new project with for example GoPro file

RE: Vegas Pro 19/20 - GPU acceleration of video processing -advise please
I have a high spec pc, but still have to proxy 4k footage currently It rather depends on what media is being used on the timeline and what choices you have selected in Options/Preferences/File I/O. For example, using HEVC 4K video from a GoPro Hero

RE: HEVC LAG PREVIEW
Because HEVC is a very compressed codec, NLEs such as vegas Pro usually have a much harder time processing it. There are several YouTube videos explaining HEVC - such as this one: With 5.3K GoPro HEVC video, I experience the same sort of stuttering

RE: Issues VEGAS Pro 21 build 300 - GoPro 11 5.3k Clipping Video Lag
The more I test with it I notice the problem is there for everything. But the larger the format the more noticeable it is.PS - I can hear the hard drives working that store the files, which wasn't the case before. I can't tell what they are doing

Another possibility ... are you using GoPro HEVC video? If yes, try unchecking 'Enable legacy HEVC decoding' (if it is checked) in the File I/O tab in Options/Preferences.

RE: Vloggers/Youtubers, what camera + capture method do you use for Vegas?
@KKS Hi. I have a sort of similar setup. I currently use a BlackMagic Decklink Mini 4K Recorder, with a Sony HDR AX-53 attached. Though, when I record, I utilize OBS with a custom setting for ProRes: It works well when I use it, though the

RE: Ultimate PC Build for Stability Advice
A new PC (I just got a i9-14900K setup - see signature) won't necessarily make Vegas 18 (or 21) more stable. You still have to configure Vegas to get the best performance from your graphics card. However, I'm experiencing better stability with the

@EricLNZ I agree. I recall there being glitches in the preview when I first added the 4k media. Of note, I only have 1 project with 4k media and that is the project that continues to function. All others have older gopro and Olympus camera media.

Well, I don't need to download any of the GoPro files, as I have plenty of my own. Can see signature for both of my builds and all cameras. I walk daily to keep the VA doctors' happy, and use my GoPro Hero 9/10/11 (mostly) as if it was a support

RE: [Solved] Western Digital Black Edition Performance Drive good enough for 1080p?
Western Digital Black are excellent hard drives and should be fine for hosting video assets for editing. All my media for Vegas has been on them for years, in a very wide variety of resolutions and formats. I do have 2 x 4TB drives in an Intel IRST

I also suggest going to the media window in Vegas, right-clicking and "create video proxy." 4K60 HEVC from a GoPro just isn't an easy format to play back.
