RE: Project not found when loading the .vf file
@EricLNZ There have certainly been windows/Microsoft updates here and there over the last year/4 months...I still have 1 project running well, all the others I have checked seem to have the same issue of failing to load then crashing. The only "new"

RE: Ultimate PC Build for Stability Advice
A new PC (I just got a i9-14900K setup - see signature) won't necessarily make Vegas 18 (or 21) more stable. You still have to configure Vegas to get the best performance from your graphics card. However, I'm experiencing better stability with the

RE: The program stops responding after AUTOSAVE
Reading the postings from @Piotr-Diszer, it has not become quite evident to me what the problems are. There were postings about GoPro footage, about computer specifications, the question of QSV, now about autosave. And so on. In most cases there was

RE: Vloggers/Youtubers, what camera + capture method do you use for Vegas?
I have an Osmo Pocket 1, 2, and 3 and a couple of GoPro cameras. I just copy the files off the cards and drop them on the timeline. They all work just fine. Motion JPEG is not a good option. I'd see if the camera can capture in a different

RE: GOPRO VIDEO FORMATS
Peter summed up the reason for 8x7 well.. more vertical to work with. However, if you upload to Instagram you can use all the vertical by uploading in a 1080x1920 format (think tall and narrow). You will get a full frame display on a

RE: Understanding 32-Bit Hardware Requirements
my constant project is 4k60p.in 8bit full environment for cut/edit, I must judge whether my footage smooth or not in preview so that at media level eventually to add stabilization/motionblur etc. my final output is HDR10, colorgrading in CGP. But

RE: Is Deinterlace Broken in VP20/370?
Ok, this is weird. It's not the camera. If I drag the interlaced clip into an empty (new) timeline, it deinterlaces properly (I use "interpolate") when I switch project properties to progressive. But if I drag a GoPro 5K HEVC clip onto an empty

RE: Vloggers/Youtubers, what camera + capture method do you use for Vegas?
@KKS Afternoon. Just got done doing some test recording. Yes, I do record to OBS with the aforementioned settings (though just dropped the audio to pcm 16le @ 1536 Kbps). Not sure if the Decklink 4K does anything during the recording "hardware-wise"

RE: 20 crashing all the time for anyone else?
I too haven't experienced a bunch of crashes. Even when I test problematic footage from others who post them in the forum, no crashes. And I usually add something from Boris, NBFX or Ignite Pro to the clips to see if that will trigger a crash. No. I

RE: VEGAS Pro 20 feedback
After using several weeks Vegas 20 build 139.. stability of program is pretty good (1080p, 4k, mp4 stuff). Some hiccups with GoPro clips. Those can be solved transcoding them first. Minor playback lag observed when pressing play button on some

RE: Vegas 20 Hard Crash
I was crashing fairly often editing GoPro 11 HEVC. No explanation for why it became significantly more stable after I did a Control-Shift startup reset. Only change to the default settings was to uncheck the Legacy HVEC option under File I/O after

RE: video is blocky/choppy
Thank you so much for the feedback. At this stage you are right it's more important to get a smoothly watchable video than obsess over 24fps. I will try setting my project setting to 30fps and render in the same. If I have to do 60fps (as this is

@justin-mehan Are you able to give the exact driver numbers for your Intel and Nvidia Graphic Processors and what is your (customized?)rendertemplate? On my vegas Pro 16 I'm not seeing those problems on projects with a lot of GOPro 4K HEVC 50p

Is the media that you are using of a type that is typical of the mdia formats available 8 years ago around the time when Vegas Pro 14 was released? From a VideoMaker review of Vegas Pro 14 back in 2016, the supported formats for Vegas Pro 14

RE: Vegas Pro and GoPro 11 formats (Vegas 20)
Proxy creation before editing is recommended with all GoPro footage. It is an acquisition format that is just not optimized for efficient editing. If you can upload a little native 8x7 footage to Drive or Dropbox, I'd like to test it in VP 20.

RE: Click and drag to timeline change in V20 403?
Yes...I found it in the V17 manual. This would allow me to load each GoPro folder to the timeline and render the whole video in one fell swoop but would require keeping the source images if I want to change things. (In my current workflow I delete

RE: Import 4K HEVC (GoPRo) in Vegas pro18 is perfect, Vegas pro19 crashes
I've been using vegas since it was branded Sony, most recently v17 and hoped upgrading to 19 would help with my dashcam hevc files where the audio came out different length to video. I didn't expect to go backwards so far! I haven't tried the gopro

Question Re Drop Frame & GoPro 30P
NTSC country. My GoPro shoots in 30P which in Vegas' file properties --> general is listed as 29.970. I assume that means it's drop-frame. I've been noticing that when I drag a series of GoPro clips all together onto a 29.970 Vegas project

RE: Flicker Control Fx Looks Broken
OK, let me make an impassioned plea for why this plugin is useful. Deflicker, Neat Video, and FlickerFree are all paid plugins that address flicker--but they are hard to use and come at terrible render time costs (ie, 10X). For situations in which
