RE: NVENC/QSV Bug when rendering image sequence + HEVC media
@ALO In the past I learnt to use Mainconcept to render anything with png's (pics/text) because NVENC messes with the pictures. (Not always but it's not guaranteed NV won't mess it up so it's safer to not use that option) This is a 5.3 GoPro, a text

RE: GoPro timecode/timestamp access?
@NoKi:The fog is clearing... I figured out how to get project media details to display. My comment above is the clue to my basic error---I wasn't explicitly setting my project properties until dragging the media to the timeline. So, during my

Creating Proxies? Hit and Miss?
I've received some UHD GoPro 59.97 and it doesn't Preview well at all. I've read I can create Proxies by right-clicking on the Media in the Project Media. I did this once, and it still was less than useful in Preview. So, I repeated the process and

RE: Vegas Pro 21 - 315 Crashing
Control+shift and double click the desktop shortcut to revert to default settings. The meaning of the settings did change from pre build 300 to post. Many crashes are associated with media if you can share MediaInfo for what you mainly use. You

NVENC/QSV Bug when rendering image sequence + HEVC media
I'm able to recreate this with media created entirely within Vegas. For starters, I created a short (2 seconds) PNG image sequence of a default text media clip. When this image sequence is imported and then placed on the Vegas timeline preceding an

Update Vegas Edit 20 to 21 ?
Good morning, I own Vegas Edit 20.Would it be worth updating to version 21?I'm bummed because I bought Vegas a few months ago, and now 21 is out and I still have to pay 129€ if I want to upgrade. So I would like to know if there is a real gain in

RE: Video size
The 720p file you posted some of the properties for is 8 Mbps. MediaInfo, a free utility, would have provided all of the information needed to make an educated guess. "Assuming" it uses the AVC (.h264/x264) encoder, you "could" be able to lower the

RE: Vegas 21 Pro Crashes Every Few Minutes When Editing
Turning off the GPU in the 3 places it's used is really a last resort. Since VP 14 we've gotten GPU decoding, more GPU processing of timeline Fx and fixes to dynamic ram preview to make it work better as a preview buffer. Turning these off kills

RE: Vegas 21 (315) Lag when handling clips (Trimming and Moving)
@Former user Thanks, you prompted me to update my profile for versions of VEGAS Pro I use. Addtionally, my comment to @joshua-noesser was more for his issue of "trimming" in the timeline, or my guess is his ability to "edit" the footage (note -

RE: Ultimate PC Build for Stability Advice
A new PC (I just got a i9-14900K setup - see signature) won't necessarily make Vegas 18 (or 21) more stable. You still have to configure Vegas to get the best performance from your graphics card. However, I'm experiencing better stability with the

@mhammann57 I've just been trying a UHD 59.94 Gopro11 clip on VP18 & VP21, it plays in both but it def plays better in VP21, VP18 wants to use my CPU more & VP21 hardly uses the CPU at all, VP18 uses a little of my GPU & VP21 uses the

I appreciate your help. So much to learn - so little time.... I came across an excellent intro video to color correction with Vegas Pro 17. He made it look easy. I'm assuming - if anything - that Vegas Pro 19 is equal to or more evolved. FWIW here

RE: Vegas Pro 21 stutters preview constantly and also crashes.
VP 21 and 20 are similar programs though 21 has some improvements to HEVC media. So step one is understanding what your media is exactly, especially the GoPro and misc MP4 (MP4 is a container and says nothing about what is in it). The Canon MTS isn't

The Nvidia 4070ti cannot decode hevc if it's 4:2:2... only 4:2:0. You might want to check MediaInfo to see what your footage is. Also check your cpu... if it has an onboard Intel Iris or uhd750 or later igpu, just configure Vegas in i/o prefs to use
